Czego uczy się na kierunku Filologia polska?

Na studiach magisterskich student pogłębia i poszerza wiedzę i umiejętności filologiczne z zakresu historii literatury polskiej z elementami literatury powszechnej, literatury najnowszej, poetyki, teorii dzieła literackiego, językoznawstwa współczesnego i historycznego.

Uszczegółowienie i pogłębienie wiedzy zapewniają zajęcia fakultatywne, wybierane przez studenta z puli oferowanej przez Wydział Filologiczny oraz inne wydziały Uniwersytetu Opolskiego.

Kształcenie na studiach magisterskich (2-letnich) stacjonarnych odbywa się w następujących obszarach kształcenia do wyboru:

·Nauczanie języka polskiego jako ojczystego -  program nauczania jest zgodny z aktualnie obowiązującymi standardami kształcenia nauczycieli (DzU 2012 r., poz. 131). Absolwent uzyskuje pełne przygotowanie zawodowe z zakresu psychologiczno-pedagogicznego oraz dydaktycznego umożliwiające pracę w charakterze nauczyciela języka polskiego we wszystkich typach szkół.  W myśl Uchwały Senatu Uniwersytetu Opolskiego nr 291/2016-2020 z dn. 21.05.2020, kandydaci na studia nauczycielskie w swojej dokumentacji składają zaświadczenie lekarskie o zdolności do studiowania na kierunku nauczycielskim zgodnie z obowiązującymi uregulowaniami prawnymi.

·Komparatystyka filologiczna - proponuje podróż wśród tekstów - głównie literackich, ale również językowych, artystycznych czy filozoficznych - zarówno w wymiarze czasowym (diachronii), jak przestrzennym (synchronii), konfrontując ze sobą utwory i wypowiedzi pochodzące z różnych sfer semiotycznych, epok oraz obszarów językowych (narodowych). Oprócz elementów rozszerzonej wiedzy historycznoliterackiej (językoznawczej) wprowadza elementy dyskursu estetycznego, antropologicznego oraz historii idei. 

Działalność studencka

Studenci kierunku Filologia polska mają szansę rozwoju pasji i zainteresowań w ramach organizacji studenckich. Są to przede wszystkim koła naukowe, m.in.: Koło Naukowe Staropolskie „Gryf”, Koło Naukowe Literatury i Kultury Modernizmu, Koło Literatury Współczesnej, Koło Naukowe Onomastów, Koło Naukowe Teatrologów, Koło Naukowe Kulturoznawców, .

Studenci mają możliwość wyjazdu na stypendia do innych ośrodków naukowych (także uczelni zagranicznych) w ramach programu Erasmus oraz MOST. Najaktywniejsi studenci otrzymują stypendia naukowe, mogą też wybrać indywidualny plan studiów (IPS) bądź indywidualną organizację studiów (IOS), w ramach których student ma możliwość pracowania pod bezpośrednią opieką pracownika naukowego.

Możliwość udziału w prężnie działającym ruchu studenckim oraz praktyki w rozmaitych placówkach i instytucjach kulturalnych zapewniają doświadczenie potrzebne w przyszłej pracy zawodowej.

Profil absolwenta

Absolwent studiów II stopnia uzyskuje tytuł zawodowy magistra w dziedzinie filologii polskiej i jest przygotowany do organizowania pracy, podejmowania samodzielnych decyzji, kompetentnej obsługi petentów oraz prowadzenia spraw instytucji.

Absolwenci Filologii polskiej (II stopnia) znajdują zatrudnienie m.in. w:

·szkołach każdego typu,

·gazetach, czasopismach, mediach,

·wydawnictwach,

·organach administracji publicznej, urzędach, instytucjach i organizacjach, gdzie najważniejsze kompetencje mają charakter komunikacyjny;

·firmach i organizacjach, gdzie ceni się sprawność komunikacyjną (zwłaszcza w działach public relations, marketingu i reklamy),

·agencjach badań rynku i konsumentów, agencjach budujących świadomość marki. 

Kontynuowanie nauki

Absolwent studiów II stopnia na kierunku Filologia polska może kontynuować naukę na studiach doktoranckich.  

Kierunek w pełni dostępny dla osób ze szczególnymi potrzebami.

Access to further studies:

The second-cycle studies prepare graduates for further education at the third-cycle studies.

Professional status:

The graduate receives general humanistic education, which is based on knowledge and philological skills in the field of the history of Polish literature with elements of world literature, contemporary literature, text stylistics, poetics, theory of literary work, and contemporary and historical linguistics. The graduate acquired research and communication skills, as well as social competences, which ensure professional work in line with his/her education. He/she also obtains professional preparation in the scope of the completed speciality, and work experience within the internship. He/she is prepared to undertake the third-cycle studies. The graduate of the Teaching Polish as a foreign language module is qualified to teach Polish at primary schools (grades 4-8) and secondary schools (all types). The student of the teaching training module completes internships in accordance with the standards of teacher training.

Learning outcomes

The graduate of the Polish Philology programme knows:
- in a deepened degree, selected facts, objects and phenomena, and relevant literary and linguistic methods and theories, explaining complex dependencies between them, forming the advanced general knowledge in the field of Polish philology, and forming its theoretical basis, the main development trends in scientific disciplines significant for Polish philology;
- in an advanced degree, specificity of the subject and methodology of literary studies and linguistics, their latest achievements and directions of development.
- theories, and advanced methodology and terminology of literary studies and linguistics in a deepened degree;
- advanced methods of analysis and interpretation of texts and culture products, within selected traditions, theories and research schools in Polish literary studies and linguistics;
- fundamental dilemmas of modern Polish philology in terms of its research and application to solving social problems;
- basic economic, legal and other considerations, and concepts connected with philological research and its application;
- rules of the protection of intellectual and industrial copyright, intellectual property management, and the form of development of individual entrepreneurship;
- in a deepened degree, principles of the operation of systems and institutions relevant to the scope of the professional activity appropriate for Polish philology (inter alia, education, culture, media activity);
- contents related to the elective module (knowledge listed under a separate description of learning outcomes of elective module).

The graduate of the Polish Philology programme can:
- use his/her knowledge of literary studies and linguistics - formulate and solve complex and unusual problems, and innovatively perform tasks in not fully predictable conditions;
- formulate and analyse research problems, choose methods and tools for solving them, synthesize various ideas and viewpoints using the knowledge of literary and cultural studies (with the possibility of taking into account the knowledge of related sciences);
- carry out a critical analysis and interpretation of selected texts and works of culture appropriate for Polish philology, using creative and original methods for the evaluation of their relevance and impact in the historical and cultural process,
- communicate on specialist topics with different groups of recipients;
- conduct a debate;
- use a foreign language at the level of B2 of the Common European Framework for Languages and in the scope of specialist terminology;
- manage teamwork;
- individually plan and carry out their own learning throughout life and guide others in this respect;
- use the knowledge and experience related to the elective module (skills listed under a separate description of learning outcomes of elective module).

The graduate of the Polish Philology programme is ready to:
- critically assess received contents, recognise the importance of knowledge of the literature and language in solving cognitive practical problems;
- fulfil social obligations, instigate and organise actions for social environment, initiate actions for public interest, think and act resourcefully;
- responsibly exercise professional roles, taking into account the changing needs of society, including: develop the profession's achievements, uphold the ethos of the profession, observe and develop the principles of professional ethics and work towards the observance of these principles;
- participate in cultural life and use its various forms:
- function competently, responsibly and ethically in the area defined by the elective module (social competences listed under a separate description of learning outcomes of elective module).
