developing reading, writing and speaking skills at C2 level

Course content:
-Reading, analyzing, and discussing texts at the C2 level pertaining to contemporary cultural topics
-Participating in small group and whole group discussions of homework texts, peer presentations, and contributing to both instructor-led and student-led discussions
-Using the internet to select, analyze, and synthesize various ideas and viewpoints included in the texts pertaining to contemporary cultural topics.
-Writing formal academic essay and participating in peer review activities
-Giving academic presentation and inviting audience participation
-Creating questions and conducting academic discussion with peer

-Participation in class discussions, both small group and whole group, and in weekly small cohort meetings: 20% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,5,6,8)
-Weekly readings of texts and written response demonstrating reading comprehension and critical thinking: 20% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,6,7)
-Individual online presentation: 15% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,5,6,8)
-In-class discussion led with peer: 15% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,5,6,8)
-Take-home academic essay: 15% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,6,7)
