Course objectives:
The aim of the course is to develop the basic language skiils in Italian language (at A2 level of proficiency): reading comprehension, listening comprehension, oral and written expression, taking into account real-life content.

Course content
The couse content includes lexical and thematic material from the Nuovo Espresso 1 textbook. Corso di Italiano - Libro dello studente ed esercizi (lezioni 8-10)

Lexical material: Seasons, Quantity expression (un po'di, un etto di ..., molto, poco etc.), Various types of shops, Shopping, Typical food products, Recipes, Description of everyday life, Leisure activities, Holidays , Italian customs, Stereotypes about Italy, Family

1. has the ordered knowledge of the Italian language; knows the lexical-grammatical and phonological rules of the Italian language at the A2 level, and the rules of the selection of means for expressing specific types of information (m-W-1/P6S_WG)

2. has the ability to search for, analyze, select and use information utilizing various sources and methods, including online resources (m-U-1/P6S_UW)
3. is able to use the Italian language in writing and speaking at the level A2 of the Common European Framework for Languages with relative fluency, accuracy and communication efficiency in a wide range of general, cultural and business topics (m-U-2/P6S_UK)
Social competences
4. shapes their own views on the basis of the gained general and detailed knowledge of the Italian language area (m-K-1/P6S_KK)

Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes
1. Active participation in classes 45% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4)
2. Written tests - 55% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4)
Pass at 60% of the final grade
