Course objectives:
The course aims to equip the students with knowledge and skills regarding the effective use of the voice. The participants will become more aware of the role of vocal hygiene, breathing, phonation, articulation and resonance in optimal voice emission. They will develop sensitivity to sounds and the value of speech fluency and intelligibly.

1. Defining the key concepts
2. Vocal hygiene
3. Basic information about speech organs, their anatomy and functioning
4. Types of breathing,
5. Exercises in phonation,
6. Articulation andspeech intelligibility
7. Speech fuency - practice
8. Presentation of tasks - self-reflection on the manner of speaking

1. Students know the role of voice as a tool in communicating and interpreting English texts (k_W03/P6S_WG)
Skills:
2. Students can use English fluently and intelligibly at the level of C1 of the Common European Framework for Languages when communicating using their voice skills (k_U05/P6S_UK)
Assessment criteria
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes:
1. Active participation - 20% of the final grade (outcome 1, 2)
2. Presentation of the voice emission tasks - 40% of the final grade (outcome 1,2)
3. A written test - 40% of the final grade (outcome 1)
pass at 60% of the final grade
