Course objectives
To develop students' understanding of culture in the context of communication.
To develop students' knowledge about communication processes in diverse business relations and organizations.
To induce reflexive thinking about oneself in diverse organizations in typical professional situations.
To trigger critical thinking about power relations and their institutionalization in communication processes in culturally diverse contexts.

Methods of instruction/ forms of classroom activity:
reading and in-class discussion, group or individual assignments, mini-case studies, interaction with FORTHEM peers via Diversity and Migration lab, that include tandem assignments, interviews with lab stakeholders and experts in the field of intercultural communication in Europe.

Assessment criteria
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes
1. Active class participation - 20% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,5,6)
2. Individual written tasks / oral presentations - up to 80% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,5)
Pass at 60 % of the final grade
