Subject of choice III 2.1-PDW3-CF
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with non-Christian ancient forms of spirituality. The subject will be those forms of spirituality that influenced the formation of Western spirituality in ancient times and that influenced the content of our religious beliefs. Christian spirituality had its roots not only in the religion of ancient Israel, but also in Greek religion, as well as in various forms of Middle Eastern religiosity, such as Assyrian, Babylonian, Mazdaism, zaratustrianism, paganism. During the classes, students will become familiar with ancient texts and build a mentoring apparatus based on these texts.
