Microorganisms as plant pathogens 6.15.BT-MFG
The aim of the lectures is to present the symptoms of plant diseases and the basic group of phytopathogenic organisms as well as the disease process in plants. During the course, biological basics of plant disease development as well as mechanisms related to plant defense processes will be presented.
Theoretical basis will be illustrated by a discussion of examples of diseases and their perpetrators; rules for laboratory diagnostics of plant diseases will be presented.

Student describes the symptoms of plant diseases and changes caused by the disease process both on the side of the host plant and the pathogen
Student determines the importance of individual groups of microorganisms as phytopathogens
Student characterizes the basic methods of agrotechnical reduction of the occurrence of phytopathogens
Student can recognize selected plant diseases and is able to indicate / choose a way to reduce the occurrence of a pathogen by agrotechnical methods
Student can determine the necessity of combating plant diseases and understands the importance of crop health for the benefit of the individual and the general public
