The main goal of the course is:

- learning to carry out correct cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a phantom.

- Becoming familiar with life threatening situations

- learning to assess the injured's health

- learning to recognize the type of injury and providing the right help.

- dealing with: breathing problems (apnea); cardiac arrest; haemorrhage; traumatic shock. choking, fractures, burns, colds, poisoning, fainting, drowning

The aim of the course is to prepare for first aid in health and life-threatening situations in accordance with the current guidelines.

Learning outcomes

KNOWLEDGE
1. Knows the principles of cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to the European Resuscitation Council.
2. Knows the rules of life-saving behavior in states of sudden life threatening: external and internal origin, environmental hazards and mass events, disasters and in special situations.

SKILLS
1. Is able to make a "survival chain"
2. Is able to resuscitate a child and an adult
3. Is able to give first aid to the unconscious
4. Is able to provide first aid in various emergencies (e.g. bleeding, wounds, fractures, fainting, aspiration, drowning, lightning, burns, heat stroke, bites, etc.)
5. Can plan the safe evacuation of the injured party from the accident site.

SOCIAL COMPETENCE
1. Understands the need to follow the rules and procedures when providing first aid to people in emergency situations.
2. Overcomes his own resistance to performing rescue operations in people who need help in life and health threats.
3. Takes care of systematically enriching knowledge and skills in the field of first aid.
