Teaching standards
Learning outcomes for the course Culture Studies approwed pursuant to the resolution 6/2016-2020 of the UO Senate on 27 X 2016. Programme of studies as definined by the Resolution of the Faculty Board of Philology on 1 I 2017.
4.2.1. Cultural studies canon: A. Basic subject modules, B. Major subject modules, C. Elective subject modules;
4.2.2. Elective courses: 6 courses to be chosen during course of studies (including one in a foreign language).
4.2.3. Specialization canon;
4.3. Details concerning study program and individual achievements, awarded grades/ECTS credit points. In order to obtain the pass grade in a given course, it is mandatory to be assessed positively during the classes specified in the study program. An examination can only be taken after getting the pass grade in a given course.
The student is expected to submit a graduate thesis by the end of the fourth semester and then successfully defend it before the Faculty Examining Board at the final graduate examination. The final graduate examination consists of two parts, an examination in specialized knowledge and the defence of the graduate thesis. The final grade entered on the diploma is meant to be interpreted as follows: in ½, it is the arithmetic mean of all examination grades and those obtained from classes entered in the student's transcript, in ¼, it is the grade awarded for the graduate thesis, and in ¼, it is the grade obtained at the final graduate examination. It is obligatory to collect 120 ECTS credits during the study period (30 credits in each semester).
