Instytut Studiów Edukacyjnych od lat znajduje się w czołówce rankingów studiów pedagogicznych. ISE dokłada wszelkich starań, by studenci, zdobywając najlepsze kwalifikacje, zostali wyposażeni w kompleksową wiedzę teoretyczną, jak również i praktyczną. Zajęcia dla studentów prowadzone są przez wysoko wykwalifikowaną kadrę nauczycieli akademickich w różnych formach: w postaci tradycyjnych wykładów, ćwiczeń oraz konwersatoriów, podczas których wnikliwie analizowane są problemy współczesnej pedagogiki. Zajęcia w ISE to również praktyczne warsztaty. Studenci mają możliwość uczestniczenia w różnego rodzaju debatach, sympozjach, na których mogą zaprezentować wyniki swoich badań oraz podejmują liczne dyskusje naukowe. Na sympozjach naukowych często zaszczycają nas swoją obecnością znakomici goście – profesorowie, pisarze oraz inne powszechnie znane i szanowane osoby uważane za autorytety pedagogiki. Instytut współpracuje z wieloma placówkami naukowymi w kraju i zagranicą. Organizowane są międzynarodowe obozy naukowe oraz wspólne warsztaty. Studenci podczas swojej nauki mają możliwość odbycia wielu ciekawych praktyk zawodowych w przedszkolach, szkołach i innych placówkach opiekuńczo – wychowawczych, podczas których doskonalą swój przyszły warsztat pedagogiczny.

Kształcenie wczesnoszkolne z wychowaniem przedszkolnym

Praca z dziećmi w wieku przedszkolnym i wczesnoszkolnym sprzyja osiąganiu sukcesu zawodowego i satysfakcji osobistej. W tym okresie pod kierunkiem nauczyciela kształtuje się fundament osobowości jednostki. Szkoła elementarna spełniała przez wieki i nadal spełnia najistotniejszą rolę w systemie edukacji. W krajach Unii Europejskiej również docenia się, a nawet wyróżnia edukację przedszkolną, dlatego wzrasta zapotrzebowanie na profesjonalnie przygotowanych nauczycieli szczebla początkowego i przedszkolnego. Studia pozwalają nabywać kompetencje z zakresu pedagogiki, psychologii, filozofii oraz przedmiotów specjalistycznych w dziedzinie pedagogiki, obejmują także zajęcia praktyczne w szkole i przedszkolu. Studenci tej specjalności nabywają umiejętności w zakresie: organizowania i realizacji zintegrowanego procesu dydaktycznego w zakresie edukacji wczesnoszkolnej i przedszkolnej, współdziałania ze środowiskiem lokalnym, prowadzenia dodatkowych zajęć kompensacyjnych i korekcyjnych wspomagających rozwój dziecka. Po ukończeniu studiów absolwent otrzyma dyplom i suplement w języku angielskim, uprawniający do nostryfikowania studiów oraz podejmowania pracy w krajach Unii Europejskiej.

Co można robić po tych studiach?

Absolwent tej specjalności posiada kwalifikacje do pracy w różnych formach i typach placówek wychowania przedszkolnego, oraz jako nauczyciel w klasach I – III szkoły podstawowej.

Działalność studencka

W ISE działają trzy studenckie koła naukowe: Naukowe Koło Terapeutów, Koło Naukowe Edukacji Kreatywnej i Medialnej oraz Koło Naukowe Pedagogiki Wczesnoszkolnej.

Kontynuowanie nauki na II stopniu studiów

Absolwent studiów I stopnia na kierunku Pedagogika, specjalność Kształcenie wczesnoszkolne z wychowaniem przedszkolnym, może kontynuować naukę na następujących kierunkach/specjalnościach studiów II stopnia prowadzonych na Uniwersytecie Opolskim: Kształcenie wczesnoszkolne z wychowaniem przedszkolnym.

Professional status:

The graduate receives pedagogical, substantive and practical preparation and is fully qualified to teach in kindergarten and grades 1-3 of primary school. The graduate has the following specific competences: - he/she has pedagogical, psychological, philosophical and axiological knowledge supporting the understanding of the processes of development, socialization, upbringing and teaching - effectively organizing and supporting the integral development of the child (pupil) and providing assistance to parents (guardians) in the upbringing of the child; - he/she has knowledge and skills in the field of general didactics and detailed methodologies, ensuring independent preparation, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum. - he/she knows classical and contemporary theories of human development, upbringing, learning and teaching (education); he/she can critically evaluate them and use them creatively; - he/she can develop and conduct diagnostic examination, taking into account specificity of functioning of children at preschool and early school age and their differentiated educational needs, including the scope and quality of social support; - he/she knows structures and functions of the education system: legal basis, aims, organisation and functioning of educational and care institutions; - he/she has knowledge of health and safety at work in educational institutions, with particular emphasis on kindergarten and primary school, and is able to provide first aid; - he/she knows methodologies of performing tasks - norms, procedures and good practices used in preschool and early school education; - he/she has knowledge of pedagogical innovations in the field of preschool upbringing and early school education, inspiring to plan and organize his/her own work; - he/she is able to make observations of pedagogical events, analyse them using pedagogical, psychological and axiological knowledge and propose solutions of problem situations; - he/she can develop and conduct pedagogical examinations, recognize the needs, abilities and talents of each child or pupil, as well as plan, implement and evaluate personalized programmes of education and upbringing; - he/she can use in everyday educational practice various ways to organise the learning and teaching environment, taking into account the specific needs and abilities of individual children/pupils and groups; - he/she can select, create, test and modify materials, means and methods adequately to the aims of education and upbringing of preschool and early school children; - he/she is able to use ICT in their didactic work; - he/she can develop children's (pupils') competences, in particular creativity, innovativeness and the ability to solve problems independently and in teams; - he/she can create upbringing and educational situations that motivate children (pupils) to learn and work on themselves, analyse their efficiency and modify actions in order to achieve desired effects of upbringing and education and use the process of assessment and feedback to stimulate children (pupils) in their work on their own development; - he/she can use in work with a child (pupil) the information obtained about him/her from specialists (psychologist, speech therapist, school counsellor, doctor) and parents; - he/she can use the speech apparatus in accordance with the principles of voice emission. - In terms of social competences, the graduate is aware of the level of his/her knowledge and abilities; he/she understands the need of constant professional development and personal improvement; he/she assesses his/her own competences and improves skills during implementation of pedagogical activities (didactic, upbringing and caring); he/she is convinced of the sense, value and necessity of undertaking educational activities in the social environment; he/she is ready to meet professional challenges; the graduate is active, makes efforts and shows perseverance in realization of individual and team professional tasks resulting from the role of the teacher; he/she is aware of the significance of professionalism, reflection on ethical issues and compliance with professional ethics; he/she shows the features of a reflective practitioner; he/she is aware of the existence of ethical dimension of diagnosing and assessing students; he/she prepares himself/herself responsibly for work, prepares and carries out pedagogical activities (didactic, upbringing and caring); he/she is ready to undertake individual and team actions in order to improve the quality of work in kindergarten and school.

Learning outcomes

The learning outcomes for the Pedagogy programme, concentration in Preschool and Early School Pedagogy as approved by the Resolution No. 49/2016-2020 of the Senate of the University of Opole of 25 May 2017 on the approval of learning outcomes for programmes and specialities conducted in the academic year 2017/2018. General and specific learning outcomes are in line with the standards of teacher training pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 17 January 2012 on the standards of education preparing for the teaching profession.
