About the Programme

The Bachelor’s Programme in International Business provides specific knowledge, tools and experience required to become a successful international business leader. During this programme a person will gain complex knowledge of economics, finance and business leadership of inter- and multinational enterprises.

Advantages of the Programme

Our students are provided with business and intercultural skills essential for leading and managing inter- and multinational companies and organization. They get to know different approaches to conducting business and the formalities accompanying them.

Work Opportunities and Further Education Options

Having graduated from the International Business programme, one can take up work in international and multinational enterprises or international agencies of public entities. They can be employed in the field of marketing, finance, banking or trade and perform business analysis. The graduate of International Business can apply for MA studies at any European university.

Professional status:

The graduate of the first-cycle programme in Economics has knowledge of economics, finance, management and related disciplines. They are able to solve problems concerning the functioning of economic entities and conducting economic policy on a local, regional, national and international level, using, among others, quantitative methods and tools of economic and financial analysis. The graduate has the command of a foreign language indispensable in the economics profession. The graduate of the programme may be employed in finance, accounting, marketing and sales departments of various companies and institutions, including international companies, public administration institutions as well as research entities. The programme of studies includes 90 hours of internship.

Learning outcomes

Full qualification at the sixth level of the Polish Qualifications Framework.
Graduate knows and understands:
- in the advanced degree – selected economic facts, objects and phenomena and connected methods and economic theories explaining complex dependencies between them, forming the basic general knowledge in the field of economics, forming its theoretical basis, and selected issues of the detailed knowledge of economics
- theories and general methodology of research in the field of scientific disciplines relevant to economics
- the nature, place and significance of social sciences in the system of sciences and their relationship to other sciences
- human characteristics as a subject constituting social structures and the rules of their functioning
- fundamental dilemmas of modern civilisation in terms of their research and application for solving social problems
- basic economic, legal and other considerations, and concepts connected with economic research
- rules of the protection of intellectual property and copyright law, and the form of development of individual entrepreneurship
- the contents associated with a selected economic speciality

Graduate can:
- use their economic knowledge - formulate and solve complex and unusual problems concerning economic phenomena and processes, and perform tasks in conditions not fully predictable thanks to:
- proper selection of sources and information drawn from them, evaluation, critical analysis and synthesis of that information
- selection and use of appropriate methods and tools, including advanced information and communication techniques (ICT).
- identify and interpret basic economic phenomena and processes, using the knowledge of scientific disciplines relevant to the field of economics
- analyse and forecast economic processes and phenomena using standard methods and tools of scientific disciplines specific to the field of economics
- correctly use normative systems to solve a task in economics
- communicate with the use of specialized terminology for the description of economic categories
- take part in a debate - present and evaluate different opinions and positions in terms of economics and discuss them
- use a foreign language at the level of at least B2 of the Common European Framework for Languages
- plan and organize individual and team work
- independently plan and carry out their own learning throughout life
- use the knowledge and experience associated with the selected economic speciality

Graduate is ready to:
- critically assess their economic knowledge and recognize the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive practical problems in the field of economics.
- fulfil social obligations to, co-organise actions for social environment, initiate actions for public interest, think and act resourcefully
- responsibly exercise professional roles, including: - compling with the rules of professional ethics and requiring it from others, - caring about the achievements and traditions of the profession
- function competently, responsibly and ethically within the area defined by the selected economic speciality
