If a subject is passed without a grade, the student receives an annotation “zal” (pass) in the index book and in the student permanent record card. The subject is also passed if the student receives a positive grade. If a subject is passed with a grade, the student needs to receive a positive final grade in the subject. If a subject is passed with an exam grade, the student needs to receive a positive final grade in the exam, however, prior to the exam, the student needs to pass the subject (with or without a grade). The information on the types of credits required in particular subjects is available in the study programme. To complete the studies the student is required to write a diploma paper and successfully pass the diploma defense in a form of an oral exam. The final grade on the diploma is a weighted average of all the grades received in all the subjects during the studies (50%), the grade for the diploma paper (25%) and the grade for the diploma defense (25%).
