Studying Philosophy is a great intellectual adventure during which you will get to know the history of classical, modern and contemporary philosophy. You will receive courses in classical philosophical disciplines such as: epistemology, logic, ethics, ontology, metaphysics. You will have the opportunity to take advantage of specialist courses such as philosophy of politics, axiology, metaethics, aretology. In addition, we will give you a choice of many optional courses, during which our employees will familiarize you with the results of their own research and open the path for your research.

Students of philosophy are doing well in the labour market, because although nobody is looking for people to become philosophers as such, the ability to argue, search for unconventional solutions and quick learning are particularly valued by employers.

You will leave the walls of our university, as a comprehensively educated humanist, ready for all the challenges of today.

Think it over. We look forward to seeing you at the Philosophy Institute of the UO.
