Descriptive grammar of English with elements of historical grammar – morphology 1.N3.EP.27
Course objectives:
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with fundamental concepts and theories relevant to the study of morphology. The course also aims at teaching students how to analyze word-structure by means of tree diagrams. Moreover, some elements of historical grammar which show the development of morphology from a diachronic perspective are introduced.

2. Inflectional morphology.
3. Derivational morphology.
4. Word-formation processes.
5. A word and its structure.
6. Some elements of historical grammar: morphology.

Kryteria oceniania
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes
1. Active in-class participation - 20% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,5)
2. Individual work - 30% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,5)
3. Final written test - 50% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,5)
Grading scale for the test:
60-67% = 3.0
68-75% = 3.5
76-83% = 4.0
84-91% = 4.5
92-100% = 5.0
pass at 60% of the final grade
