Course objectives
- to improve comprehension and interpretation skills and independent creation of text from a wide range of business area in English.
- to familiarise students with practical strategies of writing business and commercial correspondence,

Course content
analysis of Busienss English texts such as letters, faxes, e-mails, reports, memos, CVs and covering letters, press, popular science, advertising
identify equivalents in Polish and in English business texts
writing and editing business correspondence, like orders, enquiries, invoices and payments, complaints and adjustments.
using dictionaries and sources in business correspondence
mastering basic vocabulary and specific phrases.

Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes
1. Active participation in classes (group work) - 45% of the final grade (outcomes 1,2,3,4)
2. Written in class assignments (text analysis/test) - 55% of the final grade (outcomes 1,2,3,4)
Pass at 60% of the final grade
