Descriptive grammar of English with elements of historical grammar – syntax 1.S3.EP.29
Course objectives:
The main aim of the course is to deepend the linguistic knowledge of the students in repect to syntaxt, including elements of historical grammar

The level of the syntactic description: word (ultimate constituent), phrase, clause;
Types and properties of syntactic structures (structure of predication, structure of complementation, structure of modification)
Syntactic and lexical categories
structure of coordination
The structure of verb structure
Adverbials and their function
The structure of the Noun Phrase (premodification and postmodification)

multimedia presentation, discussion, language analysis tasks, pair work, individual work, ICT tools/MSTeams

1. Active participation in classes - 50% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,5)
