Knowledge
Students know and understand
1. specific terminology and techniques used in writing, critical analysis, listening, speaking and reading in English for specifc purposes in order to solve specific problems; ways to express specific types of information (k_W04/P6S_WG)
2. vocabulary, grammar, structures and stylistics in English at C1 level; technical, specialist and official (formal) English used for specific purposes (k_W02/P6S_WG)
Skills
Students can
3. use different phrases, structures and stylistic rules for specific purposes to complete formal tasks both in writing and orally (k_U01/P6S_UW)
4. be innovative in solving problems through proper selection, evaluation and analysis of the obtained information in English for specific purposes (k_U02/P6S_UW)
5 use English for specific purposes at C1 level, with particular emphasis on specialist vocabulary, professional terms, technical terms, jargon, pronunciation, etc., especially when listening, writing, reading and speaking (k_U06/P6S_UW)
Social competences
Students are ready to
6. undertake individual and team activities (k_K07/P6S_KR)
7. critically appraise and solve problems arising from the implementation of tasks; act in stressful situations, like giving presentations (k_K02 P6S_KK)
Kryteria oceniania
Forms of evaluation of learnign outcomes:
1. Active participation/presentations in class - 25% of the final grade (outcomes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
2. Written work - 25% of the final grade (outcomes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
3. Vocabulary tests - up to 50% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,5)
Final marks are granted according to the following framework:
grade 2,0 (fail): 0–49%
grade 3,0 (average): 50–60%
grade 3,5 (plus average): 61–70%
grade 4,0 (good): 71–80%
grade 4,5 (plus good): 81–90%
grade 5,0 (very good): 91–100%
