Course objectives
The main aim of the course is to develop writing skills through doing individual and group exercises, analyzing English texts and sample essays, as well as producing well-organized, stylistically and grammatically correct paragraphs.
Exercises improve students' writing skills focusing on register, style and grammar.

3. can apply the rules of written communication in practice and use appropriate methods and tools to prepare short writing forms (paragraph level) characteristic of public communication (k_U02/P6S_UW; k_U04/P6S_UK)

1. Active participation in-class - 20% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,6)
2. 4 short assignments - 40% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,5)
3. Final in-class assignment - 40% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4)
grade 2,0 (fail): 0 – 49%
grade 3,0 (average): 50 – 60%
grade 3,5 (plus average): 61 – 70%
grade 4,0 (good): 71 – 80%
grade 4,5 (plus good): 81 – 90%
grade 5,0 (very good): 91 – 100%
