Course objectives
The aim of the course is to improve students’ grammar and structures of English language at B2+/C1 level of advancement.
The course focuses on:
1. improving students' grammatical competencies,
2. improving students’ fluency in style,
3. training and developing task-solving techniques.

Course content
1. Grammar: inversion; determiners and pronouns (one(s), another, other(s), one another, each other); quanti-fiers (much, many, a lot of, (a) few, (a) little, most); nouns and phrases.
2. Style: linking words and phrases; punctuation and spelling.
3. Task-solving techniques: rephrasing and transforming sentence structure, word formation, gap filling, etc.

Methods of instruction/ forms of classroom activity:
short texts analysis, various forms of exercises, in-class discussions, ICT tools/e-learning option if needed

Kryteria oceniania
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes
1. Active participation - 20% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,5,6)
2. Two language tests - each 40% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4)
To get a credit students need to pass all tests.
the criteria of assessment of the language tests:
Level: B2+/C1.
55-63% - 3,0
64-72% – 3,5
73-81% – 4,0
82-90% – 4,5
91-100% – 5,0
