Course objectives:
The aim of the course is to help students achieve fluency in giving oral presentations in English reaching B2+/C1 level of proficiency.

• rules of giving a public speech
• visual design in public speaking
• rules of the choice of the texts to express specific types of information
• rules of self-presentation
• textual and visual material preparation
• ways of giving arguments on a point of view
• oral analysis of a chosen topic,
• elements of a panel discussion,
• presenting on an academic issue
• training fluency in communication by doing different games and activities in pairs and groups, whole-group activities.

5. choose and implement the most suitable techniques to give a good quality oral presentation (k_K01/P6S_KK)
6. understand and accept differences between their native language and English language in terms of presentations procedures and techniques as weel as communicating the meaning (k_K03/P6S_KO)
Kryteria oceniania
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes
1. Active participation during classes (continuous assessment) - 20% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4).
2. Presentations (mid and end of semester) - each 40% of the final grade (outcome 2,3,4,5,6).
To get a credit students need to pass all presentations.
the criteria of assessment of the presentations:
grade 2,0 (fail): 0–49%
grade 3,0 (average): 50–59%
grade 3,5 (plus average): 60–69%
grade 4,0 (good): 70–79%
grade 4,5 (plus good): 80–89%
grade 5,0 (very good): 90–100%
