Course objectives:
The main aim of the course is to raise students' self-awareness via observation, reflection, analysis and decision making regarding their personal and career development.

Course content:
1. Recognising own strengths and areas for change
2. Recognising own values and beliefs.
3. Recognising own habits. Changing habits.
4. Emotional intelligence and self-regulation.
5. Effective communication and building relationships.
6. Stress management. Gaining from failure.
7. Setting a career goal.
8. Assessing vision vs reality.
9. Assessing potential steps towards reaching the goal

Methods of teaching:
coaching tools, discussion, pair-work activities, reflective essay writing, inspirational book reading/watching movies and webinars - elements of ICT - powerpoint presentations, questionnaires. MS Teams

Knowledge:
1. The student knows the key theories and strategies regarding personal development (k_W02/P6S_WG)
Skills:
2. The student is able to use different source materials (the Internet, library) and search, analyse, select and use information in the form of an oral presentation or a written report (k_U07/P6S_UO)
3. The student is able to communicate thoughts and emotions as well as express observations and opinions in a clear manner (k_U10/P6S_UU)
4. The student can prepare a written paper in English (k_U04/P6S_UK)
5. The student can take part in a discussion in English – present different opinions and positions (k_U05/P6S_UK)
Social competences:
6. The student is able to define the priorities in order to complete the set goals and externally imposed targets (k_K01/P6S_KK)
Kryteria oceniania
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes:
1. Active participation in activities and discussions - 60% of the final grade (outcome 1,3,5,6)
2. A reflective essay - 20% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,6)
3. A written report on an inspiring book or movie - 20% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,6)
Criteria of evaluation:
60% - pass with a grade 3,0
80% - pass with a grade 4,0
100% - pass with a grade 5,0
