Course objectives:
to acquire the ability to identify specific social phenomena, communicative practices and conditioning factors
to develop in the ability to analyze communication in professional media environments in the information society
to understand the functioning of professionals and institutions within media world relative to students’ future professional engagements
to understand the functioning of social professional contexts as the contexts in which communication fulfills an essential role

3. Political communication and public communication.
4. Media in public communication process.
5. The role of public relations theory and practice in the effectiveness of public communication.
6. The economy of communication.
7. The ethical aspects of public communication.
8. Polish and European law of public communication.
9. Public communication strategies of government, voivodeship and commune.
10. The role of NGO’s and social movements in public communication.

Kryteria oceniania
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes:
1. A written assignment/test - 25% of the final grade (outcome 1,2)
2. A report - 50% of the final grade (outcome 3,4,5,6)
3. Active class participation - 25% of the final grade (outcome 2,5,6)
Pass at 60% of the final grade
