Założenia

Overview: This course provides a comprehensive exploration of multicultural themes in European cinema, offering a deep dive into the historical context, evolution, and contemporary manifestations of multiculturalism in film. The syllabus is organized into six modules, each focusing on specific aspects of the intersection between cinema and multiculturalism in the European context. This course encourages critical thinking and analysis, providing students with the tools to understand the complex relationship between cinema, multiculturalism, and European societies. Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, students will have acquired a comprehensive understanding of multiculturalism in European cinema and the ability to critically analyze and appreciate the complexities of cinematic representations of identity, immigration, diaspora, and societal issues.

Kryteria oceniania

Course Methodology:

Classes will typically consist of a lecture/discussion and class exercises. There will also be screenings of films and extracts from films.
