During the course, students will acquire basic information about the subject:
Information, Knowledge, Function of phases, Information process phases, Process of information collection, Internet Browsers, Metasearch engines, Optimization of information search, Web directory, Invisible Internet, Tools for search the invisible Internet, Computer Users, Computer Architecture, Computer Applications, Operating Systems, Applications Programs, Multimedia, Computing Support Officer, Networks, The Internet, The World Wide Web, Websites, Communications Systems, Computing Support, Data Security, Software Engineering, The Future of IT.
Application of information technology on a selected example (in public administration, health service) - specific examples with explanation of the implementation
Virtualization of business (telework, business models based on information, examples)
The final lecture will be followed by a test (30 questions YES Or NO)
PRACTICAL CLASSES:
In the classroom the student will acquire skills in such areas as:
Spreadsheets / MS Excel
1. Calculate the function, Operations on the matrix, Prepare the payroll for the employees
2. Data analysis: ADVANCED FILTERING, ADVANCED FILTERING, SUBTOTAL, PivotTable
3. LOGICAL OPERATORS "AND" & "OR", Use the "Date and time" function
4. FORMAT, text functions, Information functions, Financial function.
5. Text processing / MS Word (basic principles of working with a text editor, creating and formatting tables, importing objects, styles, equation editor, serial correspondence, processing of large documents: creating automatic tables of contents, tables and drawings, footnotes)
6. Credit of the course- individual work on a computer.

Kryteria oceniania
METHODS: Lecture, multimedia presentation, working with the Internet. The final lecture will be followed by a test (30 questions YES Or NO).
METHODS: Solving tasks with a use of MS Excel and MS Word. Credit of the course- individual work on a computer.
