Effective Translation - 101 1.2.5-EC-ET
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the area of translations of non-specialist texts and to develop students' general skills in translating written materials from English into Polish and from Polish into English, using different types of vocabularies and paying special attention to differences in sentence structure and syntax between the two languages and the problems connected with style in different types of texts. Exercises are supposed to improve students' lexical, stylistic, and grammatical correctness.

Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes:
active participation 30% (outcome 3,4,5,6)
credit test 70% (1,2,3,4)
pass at 60% of the final grade
