- familiarizing with different types of translation (legal, medical, technical, literary translation, sworn translation)
- highlighting different aspects of the translation and interpreting profession
- developing a broad understanding of the current and future challenges in the field
- familiarizing with tools used in translation
- presenting various career paths of the translator/interpreter
- familiarizing with how to build a personal brand as a translator/interpreter
- discussing the translator's/interpreter’s workshop

Assessment criteria
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes:
1. Active participation - 45% of the final grade (outcome 1-9)
2. A multiple-choice test - 25% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,4,6,7 )
3. Student's presentation - 30% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,5,6,9)
pass at 60% of the final grade
