Training objectives:
informing the students about the rules and regulations of safety at the University of Opole including the first aid, and fire protection.

Training content:
Basics of occupational health and safety, taking into account:
1. Departmental regulations on health and safety at universities, including the obligations of university employees and students.
2. Responsibility for violating the provisions and principles of occupational health and safety.
3. Rules for the allocation and use of work clothing, footwear and personal protective equipment.
4. Assessment of occupational hazards and risks with factors harmful and burdensome to health occurring in the work environment.
5. Risks of accidents and occupational diseases.
6. Preventive medical care.
7. Basic principles of occupational health and safety related to the operation of screen monitors.
8. Basic principles of fire protection and fire procedures.
9. Proceedings in the event of an accident at work.
10. Principles of providing first aid and practical exercises in the field of cardiopulmonary resuscitation on phantoms.

Knowledge
1. The students know the rules and regulations regarding occupational health and safety, fire protection and first aid.
Skills
2. The students can
- characterize the hazardous factors in the work environment,
- recognize and assess the occurring hazards (accident, fire, etc.),
- define the terms: accident at work, occupational disease, fire,
- use fire protection equipment (fire extinguishers, hydrants),
- provide first aid,
- perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Social competences
3. The students stay alert to improper behavior and procedures related to occupational health and safety and to the occurrence of potential threats.
Assessment criteria
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes:
Active participation in the training = 100% pass
