Persuasion and Rhetoric – Practice 1.S3.EPC.38
The course is a practical continuation of its theoretical part. It offers the implementation of the main ideas (ethos, logos, pathos, invention, arrangement, style, memory, delivery, fallacious argumentation, and many others) into specific contexts. By means of practical exercises. the students will learn how to persuasively speak in the business negotiation contexts (Business Group), in digital media promotion contexts (Media Group), and in the Chinese cultural contexts (Chinese Group).

Assessment criteria

1. Active participation in classes - 40% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4)
2. Video presentation/online presentation/in class presentation on a specific topic - 30% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4)
3. Other advanced forms possible (e.g. recording a video clip based on academic material) in the case of willingness to achieve a higher grade - 30% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,5)
Pass at 60% of the final grade
