Professional status:
Graduates of German studies are expected to have general humanistic education and general knowledge of the literature, culture and history of the German-speaking countries, including general linguistic education. They are expected to have advanced command of oral and written German at C2 level (European Framework) and, depending on their major, have specialist knowledge of German-speaking countries' literature, their culture, or of linguistics. The skills acquired enable them to work as editors, organizers and experts in German-speaking countries' culture.
