The graduate of the Renewable Energy Sources major of the second degree studies has basic theoretical knowledge in the scope of core and main subjects, and other specialised subjects covered by the programme of studies, and demonstrates proficiency of the chosen major, which allows to describe and explain processes and phenomena that occur in nature. The graduate also has specialist knowledge in the range of possibilities of the use of renewable energy sources in order to generate energy. The graduate is also prepared to operate in the area of new technologies and contemporary methods related to the use of renewable energy sources. The graduate is prepared to undertake interdisciplinary tasks that require cooperation with experts from different fields, it results from the nature of studies and the education profile in the area of technical and natural sciences. The graduate is prepared to work in the industrial plants, government and self-government administration, in the companies involved in installation and sale of renewable energy source systems, as well as in offices of planning, and institutions involved in the environment integrated management. In addition, the studies prepare the graduate to the engineering design of any renewable energy source equipment, e.g. heat pump, solar collectors, photovoltaic panels or small wind power and hydroelectricity plants. The graduate is prepared for production and operation of technical devices, diagnosis measurements, quality control of the applied technologies and equipment. The graduate acquired habits for lifelong learning and professional development.
