Professional status:
1. A graduate has qualifications to undertake care and educational tasks with children, young people and adults who are functioning within the biopsychosocial standard as well as those who have various developmental difficulties and deficits.
2. A graduate is licensed
- to undertake care and educational as well as compensatory and preventive tasks working as a caretaker, educator, tutor in a variety of family and institutional forms of child, young people and adult care as well as in daily support centres;
- is competent in the field of diagnosing care and educational situations, designing changes and modernisations of institutions, managing their activities and evaluation;
- is able to popularize knowledge of care and educational process and its specific character, a graduate is creative in organising care and educational reality in natural, direct and indirect education environments.
3. A graduate has specialization competences in the following range:
• organisation of care and educational process adapted to conditions and needs of the community,
• assessing and diagnosing care and educational needs of children, young people and adults,
• organisation of care and educational activities at the local government and state level as well as in non-governmental structures
• managing changes related to satisfaction of care and educational needs in a local community (organisation of institutions supporting families in care and educational functioning towards children and young people),
• coordination of activities and managing institutions involved in care and education as well as third sector organisations,
• creation and execution of projects strengthening educational competence of a family, related to organisation of leisure time and preventive tasks in a community,
• preparing children, young people and adults for participation in culture,
• conducting care and educational as well as compensatory activities for children, young people and adults in extracurricular institutions,
• organising and stimulating local social forces in terms of overall development of children and young people and preparing them for independent functioning
