Professional status:
The interdisciplinary character of the studies is favourable for obtaining high substantive qualifications, i.e. mastering two foreign languages (Russian and English at the level of C1 each), as well as obtaining the basic skills adjusted in terms of practical tourist traffic service in the scope of a third foreign language (German or Czech or Ukrainian). The graduate also has extensive competences in knowledge about history, geography, culture of countries being the homes for the learned languages. During the studies, the student is provided knowledge concerning laws and mechanisms of economic life, as well as the essence and principles of marketing and management in tourism.
The graduates of the mentioned specialization are prepared to work in travel agencies, translation agencies and other state institutions and private companies.
The graduates can continue their education during the 2nd degree studies in the specialization – business language or applied translation studies, carried out by the Institute of Slavic Studies or on other philological majors and specialties.
