k-W-2 the place and significance of philological science among humanities and social sciences, its nature and its methodological difference and the directions of its development
k-W-3 theories, methodology and general and detailed terminology of linguistics, literature and culture studies
k-W-4 methods of analysis and interpretation of texts and culture products, within selected traditions, theories and research schools in linguistics, literature and culture studies
UMIEJĘTNOŚCI
k-U-1 use their philological knowledge - formulate and solve complex and unusual problems concerning the use of language as well as linguistic, literature and cultural knowledge, and perform tasks in not fully predictable conditions thanks to proper selection of sources and information drawn from them, evaluation, critical analysis and synthesis of that information
k-U-2 formulate and analyse research problems, choose methods and tools for solving them, using knowledge of linguistics, literature and culture studies (with the possibility of taking into account the knowledge of related sciences)
k-U-3 recognize texts and other creations of culture and carry out their critical analysis and interpretation with the use of standard philological methods allowing for an assessment of their relevance and impact in the historical and cultural process
k-U-5 take part in a debate - present and evaluate different opinions and positions in terms of philology and discuss them

k-K-1 critically assess their philological knowledge and recognize the importance of knowledge of the language in solving cognitive practical problems
k-K-2 fulfil social obligations to and co-organise actions for social environment, initiate actions for public interest, think and act resourcefully

Assessment criteria
Final grade is a compilation of grades received for individual writing tasks that include:
written test 70%
participation 30%
