(in Polish) Academic writing 1 1.2.5-W1-PA1
During the course Students are assisted in the process of their BA writing. Both structural and rhetorical questions are discussed and practiced. Among them:
1. Adjectival/ relative clause - structure, function and meaning.
2. Passive structures - function and meaning.
3. Stance and voice - pronouns, boosters and hedges.
4. Transition - the rhetoric of sentences and texts
5. Analysis and synthesis - text recycling
6. Levels of formality
7. Cohesion and coherence
Learning outcomes

Assessment criteria
the course terminates with the credit for BA writing
Students hand in pieces of their writing systematically and according to a schedule agreed at the beginning of the semester; the final grade is connected to the whole process and is the average of the grades obtained by the Student
