Professional status:

Undergraduates of BA studies in English Philology-practical profile majored in Business English and specialized in Business English in a manufacturing company. Moreover, they can communicate with ease in English language in speech and writing at C1 level of CEFR for languages. They possess knowledge from business fields of study, which allows them to communicate in this context in accordance to CEFR level. Additionally, they have general knowledge in literature, culture, and history of English-speaking countries. Undergraduates of English Philology-practical profile Business English in a manufacturing company specilization can seek employment in small, medium, or large manufacturing companies, design and administrative entities, and private enterprises which require developed skills in analysis, planning, engineering, economics, or IT. As an outcome, Undergraduates can be hired in planning, logistics, or production and enterprise project management divisions. Simultaneously, the studies prepare candidates for graduate studies in similar fields, e.g. Business English or other linguistic and public administration specialities.

Teaching standards

Student should pass all the subjects (lectures, classes) following the teaching study programme requirements. Not all the subjects are passed with an exam, however, every subject must be passed. If a subject is passed without a grade, the student receives an annotation “zal” (pass) in the index book and in the student permanent record card. The subject is also passed if the student receives a positive grade. If a subject is passed with a grade, the student needs to receive a positive final grade in the subject. If a subject is passed with an exam grade, the student needs to receive a positive final grade in the exam, however, prior to the exam, the student needs to pass the subject (with or without a grade). The information on the types of credits required in particular subjects is available in the study programme. To complete the studies the student is required to write a diploma paper and successfully pass the diploma defense in a form of an oral exam. The final grade on the diploma is a weighted average of all the grades received in all the subjects during the studies (50%), the grade for the diploma paper (25%) and the grade for the diploma defense (25%).
