--extending knowledge of various grammatical structures, phrases and expressions
--developing fluency in written and spoken form at C1 proficiency level
--developing reading and listening skills at C1 proficiency level.

grammar focus: tenses, passive voice, modal verbs, conditional sentences, unreal past constructions, time clauses, relative clauses, adjectives, adverbs, nouns, verbs and reported speech
vocabulary focus: related to a variety of topics

Student knows and understands:
1. vocabulary, grammar, structures and stylistics in English at C1 level (k_W02/P6S_WG)

4. use different phrases, structures and stylistic rules in order to complete such tasks as word formation, paraphrasing, filling in gaps in texts, completing sentences and sentence transformations (k_U01/P6S_UW)
5. use English at C1 level, with particular emphasis on tenses, passive voice, modal verbs, conditional sentences, unreal past constructions, time clauses, relative clauses, adjectives, adverbs, nouns, verbs and reported speech while speaking, writing, reading and listening (k_U06/P6S_UK; m-U-4/ P6S_UK)
6. take up individual and group activities aimed at developing language skills and study techniques ensuring success in learning and work (k_U09/P6S_UO)

Kryteria oceniania
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes:
1. Active participation - 10% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
2. Four mini tests each marked with a plus (+) (passing at 60% and more) or a minus (–) (not passing = less than 60%) - up to 30% of the final grade (outcomes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
Scoring of the mini tests (4 pluses = 5,0; 3 pluses = 4,5; 2 pluses = 4,0; 1 plus = 3,5)
3. End of the semester test - 60% of the final grade (outcomes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
Scoring of the final test:
Grade 2.0 (fail) – 0-59%
Grade 3.0 (average) – 60-67%
Grade 3.5 (plus average) – 68-75%
Grade 4.0 (good) – 76-83%
Grade 4.5 (plus good) – 84-91%
Grade 5.0 (very good) – 92-100%
pass at 60%pf the final grade
