The ultimate aim of the course is to complete diploma papers following proper formal and stylistic principles and approach its defence

1. Writing the theoretical chapters of the diploma paper
2. Writing the empirical chapters of the diploma paper
3. Revising the diploma paper following formal and stylistic principles.
4. Finilising the diploma paper.
5. Preparation for the diploma paper defence.

2. the role of English as a cognitive means and a tool used for public communication including BA diploma paper dissemination (k_W03/P6S_WG)
3. main methods of analysis and interpretation of public communication tools, including cultural conditions of English speaking countries (k_W04/P6S_WG)
4. complex nature of linguistic phenomena, their evolution and multiple functions in public communication (k_W05/P6S_WG)
5. ethical and linguistic considerations of their professional activity resulting from public communication in media and business (k_W08/P6S_WK)
Skills
Students can
6. use the terminology and take theoretical standpoints in reference to theoretical models derived from research in communication, media and language studies (k_U01/P6S_UW)
7. recognize different types of texts in order to perform their critical analysis and assess their relevance and impact in public communication (k_U02/P6S_UW)
8. use arguments and formulate logical conclusions based on studies of other authors (k_U03/P6S_UW)
9. formulate research problems and use appropriate tools and methods to analyse and discuss them with other specialists in the field of public communication under the guidance of the supervisor (k_U06/P6S_UK)
10. explore and critically analyse information from various sources, institutions and media (k_U07/P6S_UO)

Kryteria oceniania
Forms of evaluation of the learning outcomes:
A completed BA paper submitted for its defence - 100% of the final grade (outcomes: 1-12)
